Foodbank Useage Up 25% in Some Locales. Your Office Can Help!

A recent report released by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation shows that more and more people are turning to foodbanks in 2011. As the holiday's get closer, managers start to think about these two questions:

How can I encourage my employees to bring more food bank donations than last year to our company food drive?
What should I give the staff this year?

Purchase every staff member eco-friendly shopping bag with your logo on it. Challenge them to fill the bags and bring them back to work on a specific day.

Set a deadline and have the team bring the bags back full of food. Then deliver the food to your local food bank and challenge other companies to do the same. Use social media and your email list to challenge others.

Let the staff keep the bags you can encourage them to stop using plastic bags. Each time they use them, it will encourage them to support the food bank year around with a monthly donation.
